The best gardens in this basin look as though they were always here. That is the whole aim of how we design: to read the site, the light and the climate first, and shape a garden that settles into the Whakatipu rather than sits on top of it.
At Diva, every project starts with the landscape itself. Queenstown and Arrowtown gardens sit inside some of the most dramatic scenery in the country, and our approach is to design gardens that belong to that setting rather than compete with it, spaces that feel grounded, balanced, and as though they've always been there. Our in-house design capability means we carry a project from first concept through to a finished, planted garden, and we work alongside a number of local Landscape Architects on new builds where a wider design team is involved. Whether it's a full new-build garden or reshaping an existing one, design is where we listen hardest, to the site, the climate, and what you actually want to live with day to day.
Under one roof.
Because our designer works in-house, a design does not get handed off and lost in translation. The same team that draws the garden sources the plants, builds the beds, lays the irrigation and cares for it afterwards. Design, build and ongoing care under one roof, so the intent behind the first sketch is still there years later.
